DAY 14c

CAHERSIVEEN (County Kerry, IRL)

Thursday September 11th, 2008
TODAYS MILEAGE – 223 miles or 359 kilometres
TRIP MILEAGE – 12514 miles or 20139 kilometres

It was only a short 20 miles (32 kilometres) over to Cahersiveen and by far the best photo opportunities on the Ring of Kerry road.

Now that I’ve done the Ring of Kerry, I can honestly say that I was somewhat underwhelmed by the experience. You travelled miles and miles down fairly narrow roads, that were made to look even smaller by the stone fences. You could not see over them which made it impossible to see anything, other than the touristy stops.

In fact, I thought at the time that the doctor on Tuesday, had a better view of a ring during my examination.

Anyways, what it is, is what it is. Onward to Adare for tonight’s accommodations.
