The best laid plans of mice and me???? 
Just to give you the scope of the project in which I was involved in over the past 2 days. My web site runs 2058 pages and I removed 12894 thumbnail images. This meant that I had to go and physically change lines of code on 1175 pages. I then checked and re-checked the code before taking 4 hours this morning to remove the entire previous site and then upload all the changes.
Obviously Macromedia's Dreamweaver 8 helped out tremendously in batching some of the process, but it still takes time to get it sorted correctly. Funnily enough I have to go through the whole process again within a couple of weeks when I get my Flash site up and running – more bad news for those of you stone(d???) agers still on dial up access.
This whole SNAFU from my ISP has made me think back to when I started this web site, way back in 1995. I taught myself HTML, stole some code and pestered people at work who knew this stuff as I was sick of paying $5.00 every time I wanted to send a letter and a couple of photos back to my family and mates in Australia. As part of the process I've gotten into photography, learned a fair bit about Photoshop, Homesite and Dreamweaver pretty well and have become an expert in sniffing out free wireless access points.
We'll see if I can get to check out EPCOT Center any time soon.
