Decisions, decisions!!! Be Happy

Today started with and email from KBR enquiring if I'd be interested in a couple of positions they had for either a IT Desktop Services Supervisor or a IT Desktop Analyst. Apparently one of my mates works for them in Australia and put my name forward.

I'm not sure if my mate likes me, or if I owe him money or he has an insurance policy on me, as one jobs is in Afghanistan and the other is in Iraq!!! Be Happy

Being one of the corporate whores that we all inadvertantly are, I asked them to send me more details pertaining to the jobs including accommodations, risks & rewards. It might be a bit of fun, but realistically, no (non-military) job is worth dying for. I'll see what happens.

It's time to get going again after a couple of weeks here in Austin (Texas). I've been planning the second portion of the trip and am waiting for a couple of things to fall into place in order to know which direction to head.

One of the plans is waiting on a time-share to open in Cancun (I'm wait listed), spend a week there before flying over to Havana (Cuba) for another week. For my non-US mates out there, travel to Cuba by Americans has been a big no-no, due to the embargo that's been in place before JFK became a dirt nap cowboy. The easiest way to get there is a direct flight either through, Canada, Mexico or The Bahamas - hence waiting on the time-share.

The other option is to head to Dallas (Texas) via road through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina. Going direct it would be a 240 mile (386 kilometre) trip instead of the 3798 miles (6112 kilometres) I plan on going.

Either way I need to be in Dallas to fly out to New Zealand and Australia at the end of next month. One thing is for sure, it looks as if the Man Pad is headed to a new home.

Check ya later.
