Time for some domestic chores!!! Be Happy

Last night I fell asleep to the sounds of rain coming down on the fibreglass roof of the Man Pad. To me, it has always been one of the most soothing sounds and I knew I was going to have a restful sleep, which I did.

Having been brought up in one of the most arid areas on the globe, when I was younger and every time it rained, I would either go out and sit in the middle of the front lawn and taste the rain, or go and take my motorbike out for a fang on the dirt. Truly wonderful memories.

Today is the day for this domesticated wildebeest to get some chores done, namely some washing, RV repairs and getting rid of a hitchhiker or two.

Doing laundry is pretty self explanatory. RV repairs consist of re-installing a couple of hand rails, dining table and fridge trim that was removed when I replaced the fridge. It took me 5 minutes to remove the stuff as at the pace the installer works at, it would have taken him an hour just to remove enough ancillaries to remove the fridge. At a hundred dollars and hour, that's right a C note, I wasn't going to let him do anything to jack the price up.

Now, as for the hitchhiker(s). I honestly do not know what they are, how many there are or how they got into the RV, but I do know they came on board when the fridge was replaced.

The first indications was that something was nibbling my nuts. Get you minds out of the gutter!!! Be Happy I had 5 pounds of peanuts in my pantry and it looked like something had been smashing into them. So I got rid of the broken shell and the rebagged them. The next day they were in the same condition. HMMM!!!

The second indicator was the my toilet rolls were being shredded in the under cabinet sink in the thunderbox. I thought it was due to all the cleaning stuff I have in the cupboard was smashing into the rolls while I was driving. I clean up the mess, tear off all the shredded parts of the roll and leave it at that. Well, the next day the bog rolls were shredded again.

I'm going to set a couple if live traps to see if I can relocate these little bugger as if they're not helping with cooking, cleaning or fuel then they need to go!!! Fitzy the great white hunter is now on the job now. Be Happy

Tomorrow I'll be headed North into Michigan.

That's it for the day, check ya tomorrow.
