Greetings & Salutations.
This trip came about due a number of factors, that evolved into a perfect storm travel scenario.
The HR department of my employer - Micron Technology Inc, emailed me to say that if I did not reduce my annual leave allowance by two weeks, before the end of May, then they would simply reduce the amount and pay me 50% of my base pay for the hours.
The next item was that I had some United Airlines mileage that was going to expire at the end of June, so I had to use 'em or lose 'em.
The third and final deciding factor was that my good mates Fluxy & his bride Sonia "the ginger ninja" were planning on visiting some more of our mates at either end of Australia, so why don't I join them.
So I did ..... here's how it went.
