DAY 1

Week 1

BOISE (Idaho, USA) to BRIMFIELD (Massachusetts, USA)
via CHICAGO (Illinois, USA) & HARTFORD (Connecticut, USA)

Thursday May 13th, 1999
TODAYS MILEAGE – 2269 miles or 3652 kilometres
TRIP MILEAGE – 2269 miles or 3652 kilometres

I’d be starting the day catching a 7:30AM flight, so it'd be a long day of travel today. Getting to the east coast of the US is a bit of a hassle with a Boise departure. You either have to head the West Coast cities of Los Angeles or San Francisco, back track from where you came from and then hit Washington, New York, Denver, Houston or New Jersey. You spent more time in connecting flights, with chance of getting bumped off any flight at any stage.

In the end, I decided to spend more time in terminals than in the air and went directly into Chicago and then on to Hartford. Surprisingly the travel God’s were with me today as there were no delays or dramas.

I found Ruth waiting for me when I touched down around 8:30PM, which left and hour or so drive into the hotel, where Ruth and Nancy were parked up.

Care factor has hit zero and is plummeting - I'm officially on holidays. Be Happy
