Exploring The City

Arrowtown is a historic gold mining town consisting of many well preserved buildings dating back to 1862. These were used by the European and Chinese immigrants, working the goldfields over at the adjacent Arrow River.

To describe Arrowtown as a tourist trap would be an understatement, as it seems to cater to either unwitting Asian tourists or to the well-heeled staying at a nearby luxury resorts - not my scene at all.
