(Igreja de São Domingos)
The "Igreja de São Domingos" was established in 1587 by three Spanish Dominican priests who arrived from Acapulco, Mexico.
Construction of the Baroque style church was was completed in 1587 and became the first Dominican (Catholic) church in China. It was also the site where the first Portuguese newspaper was published on Chinese soil.
