WESTS RLFC - Grand Final Celebrations
September 1995
The 1995 Grand Final was a culmination of 28 weeks of Tuesday & Thursday 5:30PM & Saturday 1PM training sessions, Sunday matches, Monday recovery sessions, numerous social gatherings and Westies "Team Meetings" and boy howdy were we going to celebrate.
Our celebrations began immediately after the final siren and continued on for the best part of the week. Whether it was the all-nighter at Wests Sporting Club on Sunday night, the Mad Monday shenanigans, daily pub crawls, bbq’s and gatherings or trying sneak off for a couple hours for a shower, nap or spousal inspection, the vast majority of us were on the gas for the week.
After the Westies Presentation Night & Awards Ceremonies my kidneys and liver were rejoicing at the very real prospect of having a well-earned rest.
