This is where the written contract comes into play again. The builder had the wrong windows, siding & exterior trim and after he had to replace them, it would be fair to say that he had the shits big time.
We started with a crew of 6 men per day to now not having anyone on site for days, we decided to terminate the contract (due to contractor abandonment) and finish the building ourselves. At the end of the day it cost us $1000.00 to finish it, but the contractor did not receive his final payment of $6500.00. thanks to having a chat with our next door neighbour who just so happens to be the assistant District Attorney.
