I've been past McKinlay and the Walkabout Creek Hotel plenty of times with work and only stopped in once for a soft drink. The piss-poor reception, lack of service and attitude I received ensured I didn't bother stopping again.
Stopping at the servo made for a whole lot more enjoyable experiences.
